Navigating Energies and Cultivating Inner Balance

Types of Meditations and Psychic Protection

Meditation in a state of harmony, protection that keeps the harmony

Meditations & Protection

  1. Mindfulness meditation involves paying attention to the present moment, including thoughts, sensations, and emotions, without judgment. This kind of meditation is directed inward and poses little threat of attracting external negative energies.
  2. Transcendental meditation involves using a mantra or repeated word or phrase to help the practitioner reach a deep state of relaxation and calm. Metaphysical meditations don’t typically require specific protections but are also directed inward. However, if the person tends to travel outside of themselves into an altered state, it is best to install protection before meditation.
  3. Loving-kindness meditation involves cultivating feelings of love, compassion, and kindness towards oneself and others. Practicing loving-kindness meditation can sometimes bring up difficult emotions. It is also important to practice self-care and self-compassion during this type of meditation. Essential protection would involve self-protection. However, suppose you intend to send this love or kindness to a specific location. In that case, you and your location should be protected before, during, and after meditation to reduce any external negative energy from following the energetic trail back to you and/or your location.
  4. Body scan meditation involves focusing on each part of the body, from the toes to the head, and relaxing each muscle group. Again, this is an inward travel meditation, and your protection should be focused on your physical being.
  5. Breath awareness meditation involves focusing on the breath, observing the inhalation and exhalation, and bringing the mind back to the breath when it wanders. Because breath meditations such as holotropic breathing can create an altered state, it is possible for you to travel into the astral or other dimensions easily. Therefore, essential protection would involve self-protection. However, suppose you intend to send this love or kindness to a specific location. In that case, you and your location should be protected before, during, and after meditation to reduce any external negative energy from following the energetic trail back to you and/or your location.
  6. Visualization meditation involves visualizing a peaceful or calming scene, such as a beach or a forest, to help the mind relax and focus. This meditation can lead to leaving the body or exploring the astral realm for other dimensions to collect information. Basic protection would involve self-protection. However, suppose you intend to send this love or kindness to a specific location. In that case, you and your location should be protected before, during, and after meditation to reduce any external negative energy from following the energetic trail back to you and/or your location. IE: Remote Viewing, Distance Healing, Akashic record retrieval, Projecting positive energy to a location
  7. Zen meditation involves sitting in a specific posture and focusing on the breath while allowing thoughts to come and go without attachment or judgment. It is essential to create a calm and quiet environment for practice. Basic protection would involve self-protection. However, suppose you intend to send this love or kindness to a specific location. In that case, you and your location should be protected before, during, and after meditation to reduce any external negative energy from following the energetic trail back to you and/or your location.
  8. Chakra meditation focuses on the different chakras and uses visualization and breathing techniques to balance and harmonize them. This form of self-care allows time to pay attention to any physical or emotional sensations during the meditation that can be used for further self-exploration. Because this meditation takes energy within, the form of protection needed is for the physical body alone. Therefore, there should be no worries about attracting the attention of external negative energy.

Very little research exists about the adverse side effects of meditation; what little research that does exist states these symptoms:

  • Headaches
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Hypersensitivity to light and sound
  • People with low blood pressure can suffer dizziness and lightheadedness after a more extended meditation.
  • Trauma from remembering a buried memory.
  • Frustration and negative thinking
  • Increased risk of seizures due to the changes in the autonomic functions in the body.
  • Loss of motivation due to the relaxation or drop in cortisol in their system.
  • Used as a form of Escapism, some people feel so good they don’t want to come back to the real world.

It is cautioned by many that people with major depression or psychotic disorders should have a clearance letter from their psychologist or psychiatrist before meditating due to the tendency to increase disarray within people with these conditions.

It is not a common practice to start meditation with protection; however, it is safest, especially in a group setting to protect the group. This is because a group of people meditating generates energy that can catch the attention of detrimental energies or beings. We live in a world of polarities; just as protons attract electrons, a group of people creating positive energy can attract negative energy.

Psychics Self Defense

Because of our innate ability to influence our reality through acts of willpower and focus, it’s necessary to know the different activities that can attract the attention of conscious beings, whether it is a living person on Earth who wants to draw on your energy or a being that is just outside of our ability to detect with our known science & instruments. Anytime you create an opening in your environment through meditation, intense emotions, health issues, chaos, etc., you can become vulnerable to a psychic attack.

Personal protection involves not only protecting yourself but events in your life as well. If you, as a bright soul, attract the attention of a negative energy that is curious or doesn’t like anything you do, it can cause problems for you. Mediums, empaths, and psychics need personal protection anytime they are outside the protection they have established for their homes. Invasions can come through meditation, the TV, lower-frequency music, drugs, alcohol, medications, and low-energy foods, to name a few.

Signs of a psychic attack or a parasitic attachment can include feeling strong emotional residence or usual outburst, feeling spacy or having difficulty concentrating, having a headache or pressure in your head, feeling shaky or nauseated (and it’s not related to food, low blood sugar or other medical reasons), depression or lethargy, unwillingness to leave a negative space, unexplained thoughts, pains, cravings, insomnia that started around the time you were unprotected.

  1. Grounding and centering are basic self-defense techniques that involve connecting yourself to the Earth’s energy. It helps release negative energies and emotions from the body. This usually involves pushing unwanted energy into the ground and, when you feel centered, reaching to the heavens to pull in energy to replace everything you just released. This is usually done when you feel strong emotional residence, spacy, have difficulty concentrating, have a headache or pressure in your head, feeling shaky or nauseated (and it’s not related to food, low blood sugar, or other medical reasons). There are many ways to do this protection, but some alternatives would be blowing in the wind or washing it away (visually or physically in the shower).
  2. Grounding and centering should not be confused with Earthing which involves touching your body to the ground, lakes or oceans which have a limitless supply of mobile electrons, which have a natural negative electric charge. When you touch your body to the ground, it dissipates static electricity and extraneous environmental electrical charges that are on you. At the same time, you receive a charge of energy in the form of free electrons and your body synchronizes with the natural frequencies of the earth. https://www.earthing.com/pages/what-is-earthing
  3. Shielding is a technique used to protect yourself from negative energies or entities when you feel threatened, overwhelmed, or know that you are headed into a situation that will be very difficult for you. This is a “keep everything out no matter what” kind of protection. It involves visualizing yourself in a protective bubble or shield, usually after grounding and centering. Before you start meditation, shielding involves projecting your consciousness anywhere other than inside yourself. Examples would be astral projection, sending love, light, or well-being to another person or location, casting spells, and psychically visiting other locations on Earth or within the universe. There are many variations, such as visualizing yourself inside a ship with the shields up, mirror shield that reflects, flames around you, and layers of protection with you in the center. For example, on the outer ring are falling rocks, followed by a lava mote, followed by a layer of waterfalls, followed by a layer of black tar, etc. You can also create a decoy you or simply call-in angels or pull on the armor of God or simple chainmail to protect you. The level of protection depends on the level of risk. When shielding is too much protection, and you cannot detect anything, it’s too restrictive, or it makes you feel claustrophobic, filtering can be done. In challenging situations, it is essential to stop periodically and psychically reinforce your field, as when you get involved, are thinking, or get tired, the shield will start to lower or fade. Ie: The elements, mirror, bubble, under the skin, forcefield, auric, spinning vortex, camouflage, chameleon, note me not (invisibility), etc.
  4. Filtering takes shielding down a step. This method allows you to selectively filter the information and energy coming into your personal space. This is done like a shield, except you install parameters such as “only energies that have the greatest highest good intentions may communicate with me at this time.” The nice thing about filter protection is that it can be adjusted to the situation. For example, it could feel like tightening or relaxing a fist.
  5. Banishing The main aim is to remove negative entities and influences from your psychic field. This is important because negative energy can cause various issues, including depression, anxiety, fear, and even physical health problems. During psychic banishing, one can create a protective shield as a barrier between the negative energy and oneself. This shield is also meant to block out any external energy that may be harmful or toxic. People who practice psychic banishing usually do so regularly, as it helps maintain a peaceful state of mind. It can also be used to cleanse your mind and spirit after experiencing trauma or negative experiences. Overall, psychic banishing is a powerful practice that lets you control your emotions and surroundings. It helps you maintain a healthy and positive mental state, which is essential for leading a fulfilling life.
  6. Physical Cued Protection: There are ways to pay attention to your physical reactions to let you know that you need shielding, such as in social situations, you feel the need to fold your arms protectively over your chest, you find yourself folding in on yourself, your heart is pounding for no reason, you find yourself fidgeting for no reason, etc. This is a message from your energetic self that you are uncomfortable and would benefit from some protection from either a person, the surrounding energy, the emotions of others around you, etc. This is a form of shielding and filtering but deserves to be recognized as its kind of protection.
  7. Warding is setting up barriers around your home to prevent an invasion of energies, entities, or even certain types of people. There are many different forms of doing this, and you should follow the method that calls to you and works best for you. These methods include using energy, runes (living spirits require agreements), herbs, orgone, crystals, salt, sigils, blessing charms, and more. ie: Energy, runes ( living spirits require agreements), Herbal, Orgone, crystals, salt, sigils, blessing charms, etc.
  8. Mantra or Affirmations: Mantras or affirmations can be used as a form of psychic self-defense. Repeating positive affirmations or mantras can help replace negative thoughts and emotions with positive ones.
  9. Crystals: Certain crystals like black tourmaline, amethyst, and clear quartz can help in protecting against negative energies.
  10. Orgonite is a substance made using organic and inorganic materials, usually resin, metal shavings, and quartz crystals. It was initially developed in the 1930s by Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian psychoanalyst who believed that orgone energy, a life force energy, exists in all living things. Furthermore, Reich believed that orgone energy could be blocked or distorted by negative energy, such as electromagnetic radiation, and that orgonite could absorb and transform this energy into positive, healthy energy. Today, orgonite is often used for energy healing, meditation, and protection from electromagnetic radiation. In addition, it’s believed to improve mental clarity and focus, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance physical strength and stamina, and tune the body to a higher frequency. Orgonite is usually made in small, geometric shapes or pendants and can be found in metaphysical shops or at home using simple materials.
  11. Symbol Protection is one of the oldest and most common forms of protection. Some of the most common are the Pentagram, Hamsa Hand, the Cross, Ankh & Om. Every religion and spiritual practice usually have its symbols. Pick one that calls you.
  12. Sleep Protection and Dreamwalkers. A person does dreamwalking with the intention of communicating with a person during sleep when they could be more receptive to the information or situation. This is usually an out-of-body experience that takes advantage of the thin veil during sleep. When this happens, the dream is usually clearer than usual; more lucid in that you can control it or are aware you were dreaming. The dream was different than an ordinary dream, seemed invasive, and changed dramatically as soon as the person showed up, interactions during the dream were more coherent and followed logic rather than the randomness usually experienced during dreams, the dream lingers for a long time after you wake up. To protect yourself during dreams, ground and center yourself, put yourself in a bubble of light, say a protective declaration several times, and then say, “My belief is shielded.” You can also protect your dreamscape with a protective barrier, use dream catchers or other symbols of protection, put a protective rock or symbol in, on, or around your bed, or ask for protection from your spiritual deities of choice, such as an angel or God.
  13. Revocation or breaking a contract is withdrawing your intention or unintentional permission. This is something used more in everyday life but can apply to problems that occur from any mediation that is improperly protected. Two sources of revocation information are: https://andrewbartzis.com/insights/  & https://www.courtofatonement.com/about_us

It is important to note that psychic protection is not a substitute for proper self-care and self-awareness. It is simply an additional tool to help you navigate the energies around you and stay grounded in your power. Please also be aware of symptoms that are like psychic attacks but are not, such as EMF, geopathic stress, environmental toxins, etc. These protections can also be applied to real-world dangers, such as installing protection before taking a road trip, putting an invisibility cloak on your house before you leave town, protecting your doors and windows with symbols or rituals to keep specific frequencies out, and anything else you can think of. Protection is only limited by your imagination.
